Question
How can I check how private an online neurodivergent group or forum really is before I post?
People may disclose diagnosis, health, work or family information without realising who can read, index, copy or retain it.
Current understanding
Check whether reading requires an account, whether posts are public or members-only, what identity information is required, which third-party platform hosts the group, and the current privacy and deletion terms. 'Private group' does not mean confidential: other participants can still copy or share material. Do not post information you cannot tolerate becoming more widely visible.

What evidence is still needed

Where people may disagree
- Some people value pseudonymous public forums because they are searchable and low-friction; privacy and accessibility can pull in different directions.
When this answer should be revisited
- A reviewed community changes platform or privacy terms.
- A reliable privacy audit becomes available.
